2012 PPD Beach 2 Battleship Triathlon

The 2012 PPD Beach 2 Battleship Triathlon was another great experience. After participating in the relay earlier in the day, I headed to the Without Limits Coaching aide station which was at RM 2, 11, 15 and 24 of the run course. I took this video around 10:00 PM to show the true grit that these incredible athletes have in finishing this fantastic race. If you've never been to a triathlon, come on down to Wilmington NC to watch this race or the many others that are here.

First Wilmington Race for the Cure

The first Wilmington Race for the Cure was held in Wilmington NC on Saturday March 2nd and WilmingtonRealEstateInfo.com was proud to put together a team of 50 people to participate in the race. We had many team members achieve great accomplishments ranging from 3rd place Overall Female to people running in their first ever 5k. I look forward to being having a larger role and bigger team next year. Thanks to Re/Max and Re/Max Essential for helping to put this together.

Wlmington Family YMCA Kids Triathlon

The 10th Annual Wilmington Family YMCA Kids Triathlon went off without a hitch. It was a great experience for my kids. The Wilmington Family YMCA and it's volunteers did a fantastic job with organizing the race, making it fun and safe for the kids and I know my kids will do it again.

Pleasure Island Rentals

Yesterday the kids and I rented a "bike" from Pleasure Island Rentals in Carolina Beach and went for a ride around the lake. They've always wanted to do that and we had a blast. If you're ever looking for something to do outside, I'd recommend it. Get creative and get outside!

UNCW baseball game

Watching a baseball game at UNCW's Brooks Field got better this year after they built this hill out in left field and opened up the outfield fence. It's a great time and inexpensive fun for the whole family.

Smith Creek Park

Smith Creek Park in Wilmington NC is a great park on the north side of town close to Gordon Road. There is a 2 mile paved pathway circling the fresh water lake and a nature themed playground for the kids. The boat ramp offers an easy way to launch your kayak or canoe to paddle around. And with plenty of shore line, you can cast a line out for any fish you can catch.

The Coast Guard Ship Diligence can be seen on the riverfront in Downtown Wilmington. The ship is approximately 210' long, carries approximately 80 crew members, has a range of about 5,000 nautical miles and its primary jobs are counter-narcotics, search & rescue, immigration and overall protection of the east coast of our great country. Wilmington is proud to be recognized as a "Coast Guard City."

Fort Fisher to Southport Ferry

The Fort Fisher to Southport Ferry leaves from the southend of New Hanover County and crosses the Cape Fear River to Southport. It's an easy 20-30 minute fun trip and helps the commuters working in the area save a ton of time. It's cheap entertainment for kids too.
